I am 21 years old. It's been more than two month since I had a menstruation. I am not married, but I have a boyfriend. We have sex most of the time without contraception. I was worried whether I was pregnant, so I used a pregnancy test. I tested three times, but it shows negative all the time. I am really worried now. It says I am not pregnant but I am not having a menstruation. Please, if you can, reply me as soon as possible. I can't even sleep properly these days.
Thank you so much.
First off, an unmarried woman has no business trying to get pregnant. Perhaps, you would protest and say you aren't trying to get pregnant, but when you have sex, especially without contraception, then you are trying to get pregnant. But worse, you are using a blessing that God gave to husbands and wives as a sinful form of entertainment. "Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God" (I Corinthians 6:9-10).
But to answer your question, it is not unusual for a young woman to miss a period or two. The general rule is that if you miss you period three months in a row, you need to see your gynecologist to make sure that nothing is wrong.
A pregnancy test tends to err on the positive side. It is more likely to say you are pregnant when you are not. Still, it usually takes at least two weeks from conception for the hormones to build up enough to show up on the home tests.
