I end up having sex with every guy I’ve dated

Question:

Hi,

I don’t know how I can escape from this problem. The more I’ve tried, the more I am into it. I have been in relationships with several men, but each time when I get into a relationship I always have sex with the guy. If that one ends, I get into another one, and I end up doing the same thing. I do confess but most of the time I feel as if I am not forgiven. Please pray for me. I really need to walk with my Lord.

Answer:

No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man; and God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, so that you will be able to endure it” (I Corinthians 10:13).

While you know having sex before marriage is wrong, you select men to date who want to have sex with you. Sex keeps them around for a bit, but eventually, the guys leave, looking for new bed partners. The cycle repeats because you never change the beginning, so the end of the path always remains the same. “Do not enter the path of the wicked, and do not walk in the way of evil. Avoid it, do not travel on it; turn away from it and pass on. For they do not sleep unless they have done evil; and their sleep is taken away unless they make someone fall” (Proverbs 4:14-16).

Quit picking guys to date because they pay attention to you. Look for a guy who makes you be a better person and who lives by the laws of God.

Being willing to admit your faults is good, but it isn’t enough if you don’t change.
