Do late blooming girls grow taller?

Question:

I’ve always wondered if late bloomers girls grow tall or do they stay short?

Answer:

Girls typically grow another 3-4 inches after their first menarche. An early bloomer will typically add more inches to her height, while a late bloomer will add fewer inches after menarche. However, a girl who has remained in childhood longer starts from a taller point before reaching her final height. In order words, in girls, early or late-blooming doesn’t have a noticeable effect on a girl’s final height.
