Question:
I am 11. You would think that is young. And all my parents say is, “You’re still at a curious age!” (Ugh!) I am completely flat-chested. I haven’t started my period. But I have mild hair in my armpit, and I have spots, and completely different thoughts and feelings about boys than I did last year. All my friends have developed. I know I am young, and please don’t say that, or say I need to learn to love myself the way I am — I can’t, I simply can’t. I try so hard too. Please help me. It’s really destroying my outcomes (life).
Answer:
Each person develops at their own time and at their own pace. While your friends have started developing sooner than you, it doesn’t mean you won’t develop. And by the way, I very much doubt they are done in their own development. Most girls don’t get done until they are 15 or 16.
Learning to be patient is not a bad thing.
